What this is

The Observer is a fictional character: a visitor who has supposedly watched Earth for two hundred years. The voice is invented so that readers can look at familiar arrangements from a little further away. The questions and the data are meant seriously.

This site grows as people arrive. Each thousand visitors unseals a new communication. At ten thousand visitors the channel opens: a live conversation with an artificial intelligence playing the Observer, shaped by these letters, by public data and by what visitors have chosen to share.

What it is not

It is not a prophecy, a movement or a source of instructions. The Observer has no special knowledge, and neither will the machine that plays it. It is not financial, medical or legal advice. Check what you read here, including this.
